    • Online Payments
Any online collection of funds for MCCSC-sponsored activities, events, or programs must be processed through Eventlink.

    • MCCSC Account Coding
Before funds are collected, the appropriate MCCSC account should be identified so revenue can be deposited and tracked correctly (Board Policy 6610).

    • Outside Groups
If the activity is being managed by an outside group, such as a booster club, PTO, or other third-party organization, MCCSC should not collect, hold, deposit, or manage cash, checks, or other funds on behalf of that group.

    • Critical Reminder
The organization responsible for the activity should also manage related funds, collections, deposits, expenses, and records (Board Policy 6111).

  • Reminders:

All fundraising activities must support a clearly defined school purpose or approved school-related activity and must be reviewed through the appropriate approval process before funds are collected. Fundraisers should be planned in a way that protects instructional time, safeguards the health and safety of students, and avoids placing undue pressure on students, families, or staff.

Student participation in fundraising must be voluntary. Students may not be required to sell items, meet sales quotas, or personally contribute funds in order to participate in a school activity or field trip. Students who do not participate in fundraising must not be penalized, and incentives should not be structured to reward only the student who raises the most money.

Online fundraising platforms, advertising, flyers, posters, and social media promotion must receive prior approval through the building principal, with consultation from the Office of Business Operations when applicable. Door-to-door sales are discouraged and, if approved, must follow student supervision requirements.

Please note that charitable gaming or gambling activities are not permitted as student fundraisers. Students under age 18 may not play, participate in, or sell tickets for raffles, bingo, charity gaming, door prizes, pull-tabs, punchboards, tip boards, or similar gaming-related activities.

Please review each of the applicable Board Policies if you have any additional questions:

    - Policy 5830 - Student Fundraising

    - Policy 6111 - Internal Control Standards & Procedures

    - Policy 6610 - Extracurricular Funds

    - Policy 7540.02 - Corporation Web Page
